The Calendar and Amendment Room serves the Pennsylvania House of Representatives under the supervision of the Office of the Chief Clerk. This office is responsible for maintaining the original records of the proceedings of the House, which includes keeping detailed and comprehensive files of each session day and compiling the daily House Calendar and House voting schedule. In addition to these things, the Calendar and Amendment Room also handles the filing of bills and resolutions, the insertion of amendments into bills during sessions, the distribution of bill referrals to committees, and communications from the Governor, the Senate, and state agencies. The duties performed daily by this office are integral to the flow of legislation within state government. This collection consists of the files of this office, which include the session day files, House blue backs, House Resolutions that were passed, and various types of House and Senate bills.

The collection, beginning with the 1983-1984 fiscal year, is updated annually.
