Scope and Contents This collection includes the papers of Lea Barbush, a House Staff Member under Speaker Herbert Fineman (D) from 1975-1977, and later under Representative and Majority Leader James J. Manderino (D) from 1987-1989. Most of the materials relate to Fineman or Manderino and include biographical materials, news clippings, planning materials and coordination efforts for Opening Day in 1977, 1987, and 1989, as well as committee assignment documents, correspondence, photographs, and handwritten notes....
Scope and Contents This collection contains office materials and related memorabilia kept by Margaret Tricarico. Some of the most notable materials in the collection relate to former Representative H. William DeWeese, including previous schedules, correspondence, and research files. Also included in the collection are miscellaneous documents related to the impeachment of Justice Rolf Larsen in 1994, as well as memorabilia and DVDs from various memorial ceremonies for deceased House and Senate Members.
Scope and Contents This collection was originally from Roger Nick, former Chief Clerk, who donated them to Capitol Preservation who then transfered them to the House Archives. The gavels are from each of his first days as Speaker for each term. Original letter and email are included in box.
Scope and Contents The papers of Michael McCue were given in two donations, which is reflected in the dates of acquisition. The materials included are legislative directories, campaign buttons, House publications, other historical event memorabilia from the Capitol, and items from his father John B. McCue.
Scope and Contents Alice Langtry’s collection spans the eight years she was in office (1984-1992), though the majority of the material covers her later years as a Representative. The collection is largely made up of photographs, which she divided according to activities within the specific townships of her district. Scope and Contents This collection primarily contains information related to Arthur D. Hershey’s campaigns for the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives between 1982 and 2006.� Campaign materials include pamphlets and other mailings sent to constituents, as well as memorabilia such as buttons and stickers. The collection also includes materials related to Hershey’s legislative work, particularly during the later years of his service in the early 2000s.
Scope and Contents This collection is additional materials donated by former Rep. Hershey in 2019. The materials are mostly scrapbooks which are on a DVD within the collection. The arrangement within the series is based on original order by Hershey and his family.
