Biography
William (Bill) Francis Adolph Jr. (R) served as a representative for the 165th District of Delaware County from 1989 to 2016. Born in Philadelphia on October 23, 1949, Representative Adolph attended Cardinal O’Hara High School and after graduation in 1967, went on to Christian Brothers College to earn a Bachelor’s Degree. Representative Adolph joined the William F. Adolph & Co. as an accountant in 1971 and served in various public offices to include public accountant; elected, commissioner, Springfield Township (1981-1989; president, 1988); Republican Ward Leader; and commissioner, 1st Ward (1982-1989.) After being elected to the House in 1989, Representative Adolph served on many committees and leadership positions that include but are not limited to: elected, chair, Minority Appropriations Committee (2010); elected, chair, Majority Appropriations Committee (2010-2016); appointed, board , Pennsylvania Higher Educational Facilities Authority (1991-2002); appointed, board, State Public School Building Authority (1991-2002); and appointed, board, Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (2003-2016; chair, 2007-2016.) Representative Adolph married Deborah L. Palandrani and had three sons; Billy, Sam, and Ryne.
