Biography

Gibson C. Armstrong was born in Cherry Point Marine Air Station, NC, 1967. He graduated from Lampeter-Strasburg High School in 1985 and afterwards attended Millersville University. He graduated from United States Naval Academy in 1991 with a B.S. in political science. In the United States Marine Corps for 9 years, leaving with the rank of captain. He was elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election July 16, 2002 to serve the remaining 2001 term; and reelected to the 2003 and 2005 terms. He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection to the House for the 2007 term. After his legislative career, Armstrong became director, government relations, BlueStar Energy Services and was appointed to the Board of Directors, Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority.
