Was created via a House Resolution No. 250, May 18, 1976, to educate all Pennsylvania House of Representatives members on current issues that will have lasting effects.
The first symposium was held January 17-19, 1977 for the 1977-1978 session. The second and final symposium was held January 3-5, 1979 for the 1979-1980 session.

Scope and Contents
The Benjamin Franklin Symposium was created in the 1975-1976 Regular Session with House Resolution 250. The first symposium was held January 17-19, 1977.
